Following the sad demise of legendary poet Ahmed Faraz, people shifted their focus from Faraz to Zard-Aari on the SMS.The first text message, among many, that I received notifying this shift was:

10,15 dinoo me logoon ne Ahmed Faraaz ko itnaa yaad kiya kay wo Allah ko pyaray ho gayay,

Ab sabse guzarish hay kay aise he Zardari ko yaad karain

Credit goes to Zard-Aari himself for getting the tribute from the people of Pakistan in the same way as they gave to the Q-League early this year. The interesting thing to note is that they took 5 years to earn this much of respect, love and attention of the people while Zard-Aari took just a few months.

Youn lagta hay naam mere Pakistan kar gayee,

Is mulk main aik beemari hay,

Jo Pakistan ki salamti par bhaari hay,

Lootnay me na jisay koi dushwari hay,

Uska naam Zardari hay !

Jin: Kyaa hukam hay mere aaqa

Aaqa: mulk ka sara maal mera account me daal do

Jin: aaqa hukam karain, bakwas na karain. Me jin hun, Zardari nahe hoon
