Inspired by the prestigious booker prize of UK, Pakistan Academy of Letters (Maqtadira-e-qaumi zabaan) initiates ‘cook-er’ prize in Pakistan.

There are two categories, chota cook-er (for best short story writer) and bara cook-er (for best novel writer).

I noticed an anti-lawyers movement banner last week on my way to work which was quite interesting. I could not see any other of such around town, probabaly this was the only one there. I have been trying to capture that since then but could not for always being in a rush to work. Today, I managed to take a snapshot from quite a distance when I stopped on the signal. The picture is not clear, but still quite interesting.

I posted the audio version and the lyrics of Sala Ek General a few weeks back here. I have been looking for the video release but could not find any. Yester-night, I found a couple of videos for this track, one of which I found very interesting, catchy and nicely composed. Enjoy the video !

I was bist-ed by friends and cousins at an event this weekend when I uttered, ” mene aaj tak theek se dekhay nahe paye, khana to dor ki bat hay.” The reaction by the group of around 11 people was so intense that they would have hit me and slapped me if I would have said one more word against the ‘shaan of Paye’.
